Dean’s Message
Dear Students,
Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University Faculty of Agriculture has 66 Faculty, 4 Instructors, 17 Research Assistants, 87 Academic Staff and 14 classrooms, 1 computer lab, 1 conference hall, 1 seminar room. Our Faculty has been continuing education and training with eight departments (Horticulture, Plant Protection, Biosystems Engineering, Fisheries and Aquaculture Engineering, Agricultural Economics, Field Crops, Soil Science and Plant Nutrition and livestock)
It was founded in 1982. Our faculty has been fulfilling important contributions to agriculture education and training for 37 years and its graduates work in public and private sector. At the undergraduate level, 6597 students were graduated from our faculty. Our faculty currently has 790 students at undergraduate level.
Our instructors, who offer alternative production systems to provide solutions to the agricultural problems of our local producers and increase their income, contribute to the national economy. A large number of EU, SPO, TUBITAK and SANTEZ projects have been completed and some of them are still continuing in agricultural application areas and application laboratories. In addition to these projects were carried out in our faculty, there are also studies on product registration and patent. Thanks to the studies were carried out in our faculty, on field of ”Contribution to Local Development”, Higher Education Counsel (YÖK) Outstanding Achievement Award was awarded to our University in 2017.
